The port
Take a morning walk along the quay where the fishing boats are moored. If you're lucky, you can buy freshly cooked crayfish or fresh fish straight from the boats.

The location offers both fine sandy beaches and rocky beaches. It is also a well-known surfing mecca where you can watch colorful wind and kite surfers challenge the waves.

Varberg Fortress
Visit the mighty fortress from the early 17th century. Up here is also Halland's Cultural History Museum where you can see the unique medieval find, the Bockstensmannen.

Walk the beautiful 5-kilometer-long Strandpromenade that winds along the cliffs. Take the opportunity to take a dip at the iconic Kallbadhuset.

Do you like cycling? The national cycle path Kattegattleden passes nearby and offers fantastic views along the coast.
